Seriphos, also known as Seriphos Green Quartz or Prasem Quartz, is a rare green quartz variety found exclusively on Serifos Island in Greece. It forms in skarn deposits, with its green colour resulting from inclusions of actinolite or crossite. The crystals typically appear as slender, needle-like or fan-shaped formations with a translucent to opaque pale green hue and a silky to vitreous lustre. In folklore, it is believed to bring joy, peace, and protection.
